Whoah, it’s really busy! Kinda hard to follow, but go for it if you have the old school resume posted too. Nice work overall, it’s pretty!

  2. steve miller says:

Wow! You’ve reinvented the resume! Much cooler than the boring traditional resumes.

  3. Terri Daniell says:

Looks pretty impressive to me! Hope it helps you get the future job you want in this business…..

  4. Very interesting. I’m curious as to what sort of return it provides you, i.e. did you get passed around the web because it’s cool and therefore increased your awareness? (FYI: I saw Claudia Batten post this to LinkedIn and clicked on it.)

I did want to provide some advice on the copyright. Consider using the CreativeCommons licenses. It provides you with the flexibility you want, but also supports a more forward thinking copyright system and also has various levels of copyright to give you whatever level of control you want.

    Good luck!

It’s busy and it’s (a little) hard to read but if it landed in my inbox I would definitely persevere – the type of person who thinks about turning their cv into an infographic is someone any employer should want to talk to. Nice one!

love it!!! really! I work as a career consultant and for the job you are looking for with such a resume you stand among all the rest which is great!

only the experience section is a bit more colourful in my opinion.

anyway, great work! wish you success!

I have to admit that this is a little too busy and some of the parts take more effort to absorb. However, I did get in here because it has gone viral*, so well done and I hope you find the job you would never want to leave! ;)

Thanks for all the comments and constructive criticism. It really helps.

Sorry for the slow response as well. I posted this right before I left to go honeymooning down in Mexico and pretty much all of this has gone on without my knowledge or help.

With that said, I plan on writing a follow-up post in the coming week or so as I respond to people and see how all the pieces fit together.

    Thanks for the interest.

    Clay,

Overall, a very nice job. The resume is an attention grabber and definitely shows you are an out of the box thinker with a creative bent.

I would encourage you to also add a traditionally formatted text PDF resume as well so that your information can easily be downloaded into corporate applicant tracking systems.

  11. What I like about it is what some others have noted. It shows the way you think in addition to what you have done. I think you will get points for creativity among prospective employers. I don’t know what the Experience Section looks like when printed out (if you hand out printed versions) that is the only piece I had trouble reading and I think it might simply be the gray screen behind the type? Or maybe aging eyes syndrome. I hope you find the right work environment that will foster your creative thought process.
